Marmande - Beefsteak Tomato

A wonderful summery delight, proper beefsteak tomatoes, grown here on our farm...just add salt, olive oil and perhaps enjoy on a lovely slice of sourdough. Simple.

Harvested when they begin to blush with colour but are not yet fully deep red. This is to avoid splitting and pest problems. We will finish ripening them in our barn, but yours may require a day or two, after delivery, on the side some where warm to allow them to fill with colour.

Please do not refrigerate, this will cause them to lose their sugars and all that lovely flavour.
